About this blog: It’s about stories.
About me: I’m Reeves Wiedeman. I’m an aspiring-journalist, and have written about a blind marching band member and rugby-playing cheerleaders for The Boston Globe, Matt Ryan for The Philadelphia Inquirer, American influence in South Africa for The Mail and Guardian, and hot dogs for Sports Illustrated.com. I was born in Kansas City, MO, went to school in Boston, studied abroad in South Africa, and now live, as 20-something yuppies are prone to do, in Brooklyn. I’ve worked at The Village Voice, Sports Illustrated, Talking Points Memo, and The New Yorker.
I have an avid interest in Kansas Jayhawk basketball, NPR’s All Songs Considered Live Concert podcast, and some day getting paid to take pictures and make videos (if writing ceases to exist).

I am impressed by your work in black and white. In addition to the acuity for capturing scenes of impact, find a management technique impeccable. This can be seen, for example, the level of depth you get with the registration of black.
